Настраивать лучше наиболее быстрый для Вас сервер. Между серверами бывает
рассинхронизация, поэтому чтобы уменьшить количество проблем лучше оставьте
один.
Сизифить по модему это ИМХО мазохизм!!! Тем более если не можете дождаться
выполнения команды apt-get update. А это не говоря уже о других коммандах
(например dist-upgrade :) )
