то, что вы хотите - это компромис
между тремя возможностями - нулевой установкой из tar.gz(что вам никто не
запрещал:)), обновлением бинарника из сизифа со всеми зависимостями и
ожиданием выхода новой версии дистрибутива
так ли нужен этот компромис?
мне кажется, что принятая в ALT схема - патчи безопасности - в updates
и новые возможности новых версий - в нестабильном сизифе - вполне адекватна
разве нет?
