Кроме того, кто-то, как я слышал, готовит такой документ, ориетированный
именно на начинающего developer'а; статус, правда, мне не известен.

Я не согласен с оценкой сложности.
Что касается документированности с точки зрения "простого пользователя",
то contribution, разумеется, приветствуется.
