Ну почему же гадить? Для того и есть /usr/local,
чтобы ставить в него софт, не входящий в поставку
ОС. И вовсе необязательно такой софт пакетировать,
если заведомо известно, что никто кроме меня сей
пакет не будет использовать. Тем более, что хочется
с опциями configure поэкспериментировать.
