А что именно происходит?
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices
cat /proc/scsi/scsi
cat /proc/scsi/scsi_sd
dmesg
Как именно виснет - вся система или только mount?
Если виснет совсем, можно сделать так: в консоли сначала setfont
Cyr_a8x8 (чтобы больше влезло на экран), потом dmesg -n8, потом
попробовать смонтировать. Сообщения придётся переписывать на бумажку.
