Конечно, это не совсем ответ на вопрос. Но очень хорошее и прямое
решение - подключить принтер через принт-сервер. Тогда у него
свой сетевой адрес, и дальше вопросов не возникает, даже, если в
сети есть машины под Windows. Очень это удобно и тогда, когда
есть два сетевых принтера. Например, лазерный чернобелый и
струйный цветной. И всем хорошо.
