насколько давно??? сижу вот на суське и замечаю, что очень хорошая совместимость с rpm'ками для слаквари =) т.е. если какой-то нужный мне пакет собран только для RH, MDK и Slackware, то слаковский встанет без проблем, а остальные потребуют еще кучу всяких библиотек :-\ В последний раз такое было с Fluxbox'ом. флукс альтовской сборки при установке заругался, а слакварный встал нормально (причем в /opt/fluxbox) :) так что видимо это и сказывается на чем суся основывается :) да и любит еще софт в /opt/... ставить.
