"Жрут ресурсы" -- понятие очень относительное. Если речь идёт о памяти,
то беспокоиться не стоит. При простое система эффективно выносит эти
процессы в своп, в пользу других процессов, и не достает из свопа до тех
пор, пока они не понадобятся. Если же они понадобятся, запуск
происходит гораздо быстрее. Короче, не стоит думать, что вам удасться
сэкономить лучше, чем это получается у ядра.
Хуже, если эти процессы занимаются какой-нибудь непрошенной активностью,
т.е. имеют ненулевой CPU usage. Тогда есть некоторый смысл их прибить.
Только не прибейте ядерные треды (их можно отличить по небольшим
значениям PID).
