Это как раз не сильно сложно, см. os-registry.c в исходниках
NVIDIA_kernel и README из пакета, дальше оптимизация
регулируетярся в основном параметрами модуля NVdriver или nvidia
(устанавливаются в /etc/modules.conf).

Sisyphus/unsupported/SRPMS/WineX-2.2.1-alt3.20021113.src.rpm и
http://osdn.org.ua/winex/ -- последний специально затачивался под
игровое применение.

Практически нет, насколько я знаю; возможно, ошибаюсь на win4lin
и vmware, но с ними я не работал вообще.
