Мне cvsgnome жутко понравился, очень жаль, что автор перестал над ним работать. У такого подхода (build-скрипты) есть огромное преимущество - экономия времени. А у такой реализации, как в cvsgnome (bzcat |tar, cvs update, autogen && make, make install, tar | bz2) - 5х шаговой - куча преимуществ IMHO. На любой стадии можно killall cvsgnome, выполнить шаг "ручками", и продолжить процесс.

Чтобы не было конфликтов с системными библиотеками, приходится.. Я сначала пробовал с Мастеровскими библиотеками подружить gnome2, долго мучался, даже часть собрал, в результате были постоянные крэши.
Вот только gnome2 все равно не мой windowmanager. После WindowMaker жутко неудобно работать... А еще эти поменянные местами ОК и Cancel. Хотя на вкус и цвет...
