Продолжаю разбираться...
Вопрос про TOP и RETR выяснен и снят.
Посылание CAPA отключено (auth password в опциях сервера в
.fetchmailrc).
Но (при скачивании fetchmail'ом) по-прежнему наблюдается пауза между
POP3> PASS
POP3< +OK Maildrop locked and ready
и
POP3> STAT
Не смертельно это, конечно, но если кому-то есть что сказать о
причинах этой странноватой паузы и способах борьбы с ней, буду
очень благодарна за советы и комментарии.
