Предыстория такова.
Стоял на тачке ALT Linux Master 2.0, первым делом поставил ему ttf
шрифты из существующего раздела win XP. Ставил с помощью утилитки,
как мне кажется, из набора GNOME, название не помню.
Процесс прошел замечательно.
На днях купил Junior 2.0, и прибив Мастера поставил его.
Естественно, вид не ttf шрифтов поверг в уныние.
В комплекте Junior я гномовской утилитки для установки шрифтов не обнаружил,
поэтому из FAQ взял рецепт как ставить вручную.
В итоге у меня появились MS TTF шрифты, но они везде отображаются
квадратиками...
Поразмышляв о том, что некоторые шрифты, как говорилось, могут быть кривыми, а
инсталлятор их тестирует перед установкой, я решил поискать упомянутый в FAQ
DrakFont. В комплекте Junior 2.0 я его не нашел, что выглядит очень странно..
Вещь какр раз для жуниоров.
Тогда я взял RPMку DrakFont из комплекта Master 2.0, результат оказался
получше, но всеже какой-то странный.. некоторые надписи заметно заалиасились,
некоторые отображались правильно русскими буквами, некоторые - квадратиками.
В утилитках выбора шрифтов при выборе MS TTF шрифтов - в примере опять же
квадратики..
Вот такая проблема...
Но ведь когда все было на Master 2 - все было в порядке!
Да, Microsoft убрал с своего сайта free шрифты, упомянутые в FAQ по установке
ttf шрифтов. Не подскажет ли кто, откуда еще можно их утянуть?
