Могу вас "утешить" -- у меня есть такие же симптомы на матери ASUS с
чипчетом i440BX, но видео тоже NVIDIA: был TNT2, теперь GeForce4. Обидно
до кончиков ногтей -- раньше подвисало пореже, теперь даже скринсейвер
гонит машину в быстрый даун. Что характерно, под виндой то же самое.
Насколько я понимаю, по крайней мере в моем случае, это глюк моего железа
в работе с AGP. А может, и нет, по крайней мере симптомы с вашими очень
схожи. На сеть машину не проверял, стоит она дома одна одинёшенька... Но
модем в периоды взвисов работает исправно.
