Вывод графики - это Ваша видеокарта.
3DNow! можно использовать для математики. В том числе, и для collision
detection и рендеринга в 3D играх и т.п.
Для работы с mp3- и с png-файлами, вроде бы была поддержка 3dnow. Работает
или нет - не знаю, у меня не AMD. А вообще может быть, при сборке программы
из исходников, задействовать оптимизацию для amd.
