Мне для обновления ядра (мастера 2.0) потребовалось
скачать mkinitrd и ещё один пакет (без него mkinitrd не
вставал). Его названия я сейчас не помню... :-( Но могу
написать вечером (из дома).
Вы здорово облегчите себе жизнь, если создадите
загрузочную дискету ДО начала обновления и скопируете
содержимое /boot в архив (на всякий пожарный): здорово
поможет в случаи kernel panic... (Я этого не сделал. %-/
И чтобы получить доступ к старому, рабочему, ядру мне
пришлось ставить второго мастера. Панику нового ядра я
ещё не поборол...)
