Хороший источник знаний о том, что происходит с почтой --- файл
/var/log/maillog.
Еще очень может помочь fetchmail -vv
Только всё, что оно скажет имеет смысл перенаправить в файл и потом без спешки
с этим всем разобраться.
Скорее всего теряется почта из списков рассылки, в которых не проставляется
заголовок Envelope. В этом случае может помочь опция envelope в .fetchmailrc
если почтовый сервер правильно проставляет заголовки Received.
