Не работают. Есть свободные OCR (русский не понимают,
конечно), но довести их до приемлемого уровня довольно
сложно.
Между прочим, все отечественные OCR используют алгоритмы,
разработанные в застойные времена на госденьги. Можно и
многие публикации поднять. Но работа сложная, без серьезного
финансирования не обойтись.
