Да? Мне казалось, что на винчестере должен быть хотя бы один раздел -
Primary... fdisk заявляет, что разделов на винте нету.

А это и правда самый ценный совет. Нет, я правда не шучу. Спасибо.
Но пока сделал следующее: скопировал ценные данные на /dev/hda/
fdisk'ом создал раздел, отформатировал xfs, смонтировал, скопировал
данные обратно. Сейчас все хорошо, руки больше не трясутся :))
