Пошарил в сети, нашел похожую проблему.
Поигравшись по итогам с systemctl status systemd-modules-load b journalctl
обнаружил искомое в сопровождении с текстом
"Failed to insert 'efivars': No such device".
В биосе EFI отключен, ставилось без него и раньше ничего не ругалось.
Что бы это значило?
