Intel gma 3150. Стартер-кит нормально пашет, правда там и ядро новее.
Стоит ли попробовать обновить ядро из Сизифа?

Кажется разобрался. Сделал ссылку ~/.config/gtk-3.0
на /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-3.0
В xfce видимо из-за пакета gtk-engines-xfce игнорируется
~/.config/gtk-3.0, а используется тот что в теме.

gtk-engines-Adwata|Unico|.* ответственны за отображение специфических
форм в темах гнома. Без них всё дефолтное, квадратное, без теней и
плюшек.
