Есть кухня (диск, весь целиком, т.е. /dev/sda), в кухне пара-тройка
холодильников (партишенов /dev/sda1, sda2), холодильники бывают разных
типов и размеров, ну там для напитков, морозилка и т.п. (тип и размер
партишена), в холодильнике пиво и еда (файлы).
Итого: Вы в холодильник смогли положить продукты (подмонтирвать и
вписать файлы). А теперь задаете следующий вопрос:
вывожу инфу о холодильнике 1 (fdisk -l /dev/sda1) и вижу, что там внутри
него на самом деле объекта холодильник нет. Как же так?
А вот так. Сделайте fdisk -l /dev/sda
