Я могу ошибаться, но тачпады вроде настраиваются через "synaptics-что-то
там", или уже в xorg есть настройка synaptics. Идея , конечно капец, но
можно поискать где-нить в гугле "xorg synaptics", я просто помню что там
с помощью команд из консоли можно было просматривать и настраивать
тачпад. Просто в Гноме может опять какая-нить хрень где-нить не так
прописалась ( там schemas или d(g)conf всякие ). Вообще в Гноме часто с
такой фигнёй сталкивался, парой люто напрягает.
