Наверное это все есть. Ведь из Windows XP (хоста) видны общие папки
из Windows Vista, которая тоже, одновременно с Юниором, работает под
VMWare. Значит с VMWare все в порядке?

Кроме обычной установки Юниора ничего дополнительно не ставил
и не запускал. Но, судя по запросам apt, как клиентские, так и
серверные модули Samba в Юниоре установлены.
