Все дело в Иксовых шрифтах. Я точно не знаю файловую организацию MDK9,
но, думаю, она не очень сильно отличается от ALM2.2.
Итак, в /etc/gtk куча файлов, каждый из которых отвечает за то, какой
шрифт будет стандартным в Gnome1 приложениях при локали "имя_файла". Вам
просто надо отредактировать файл, соответсвующий вашей конфигурации,
вписав туда какой-нибудь, напрмер, TrueType шрифт.
Например, у меня локаль ru_RU.cp1251 и вот как выглядит файл
/etc/gtk/gtkrc.ru_RU.cp1251
style "gtk-default-cp1251" {
fontset =
"-microsoft-Tahoma-medium-r-normal--11-*-*-*-*-*-*-cp1251"
}
class "GtkWidget" style "gtk-default-cp1251"
Вышеописанное отвечает за шрифт списка папок, названия иконок слева и
т.п. Чтобы во вкладке "Коротко" все было ок, Вам надо перейти в
Инструменты > Настройки > Настройки шрифтов и там уже установить шрифты
вашей локали или Unicode.
