Не совсем так. Есть ряд программ (OWriter, XWC, вообще весь ОО) которые
не удаётся "заиконить". При запуске их правым кликом появляется меню,
где надо выбрать дополнительные настройки. Там есть пункт "эмуляция
пиктограммы" (Это Майк Шигорин описывал). Но вот беда - имено этот пункт
у перечисленных программ в осветлённом шрифте - типа "не предусмотрено"
