Как раз проблема, что вин-модем не опознался :-( это значит ваще нереально?
и ваще я не нашел како-го нить аналога виндового "диспетчера устройств"

на такие случаи на первом винте стоит WinXP HE со всем настроенным софтом и
железом, и не так часто приходится дома тексты распознавать
