11.0 update of Simply Linux operating system is available.

The build is available for x86_64 and AArch64, based on the 6.12 (LTS) 
kernel.

Release Highlights for Simply Linux 11.0

* Xfce 4.20 desktop environment now features a hybrid sleep mode. This 
function saves a backup of the system's RAM contents to the hard drive, 
combining the quick resume of suspend with the data safety of hibernate. 
Additionally, version 4.20 adds new configuration options for adjusting 
the panel's width.

* Timeshift integration. This utility protects the system by taking 
snapshots of system files and settings. It operates using 
hard-link-based file synchronization on standard filesystems or 
leverages native BTRFS snapshots. In the event of a system failure, it 
allows for a complete restoration of system files while preserving user 
data in its current state, provided it was not corrupted.

* AMDVLK (2025.Q1.1), NVIDIA (470, 390) proprietary drivers updated. 
Support for the NVIDIA 570 series driver added, it delivers optimal 
performance for GeForce RTX 40xx series GPUs in gaming, 3D rendering, 
and AI inference workloads.

* Hardware-accelerated graphics via Mesa DRI Drivers (OpenGL/Vulkan 
compatible).

* The distribution now includes PortProton as a replacement for a 
standard WINE setup. This utility simplifies running Windows-based games 
and applications on Linux. It automatically creates and configures a 
dedicated prefix for each program. A selection of popular games is 
pre-configured out of the box, and the tool provides an interface to 
easily install other desired software.

* PipeWire as default sound server.
